Since 2003 the Minister of Agriculture has been granting the KlasA National Label of Quality to quality domestic food industry and agricultural products. Since 2004 this label has been administered by the Marketing Department of the State Agricultural and Intervention Fund.
The Minister of Agriculture grants the KlasA label for three years. This activity is part of the national program for the support of domestic food the objective of which is tomake Czech products more visible on the domestic market. The primary criterion for its being granted is the product must be produced with a one hundred percent share of national work. Great demands are put on the assessment of the quality and safety of the food and the entire production process, and simultaneously the applicant must be the holder of the ISO certificate.
