Monastére - ripening cheese under paste won the Product of the Year 2006 award in the category of natural cheeses and also the Main Prize 2006 at the fourth annual "Dairy Product of the Year 2006" event, which was held by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic and the Bohemia-Moravia Dairy Union. The products that were entered were judged by a commission of independent experts and representatives of the organizers. A total of 17 producers, who entered 53 products, took part in the event. Specifically, these were products that entered the market during the period of 1 April 2005 to 31 March 2006, which the organizers divided into six categories.
